ByThen Website Assets (2026)
I had the opportunity to create a series of illustration assets for ByThen, a video producer built to simplify the entire long-form video production process, from scripting and visuals to storyboarding, voice, music, and editing, all within a single workflow. What made this project particularly interesting was the contrast between the technology behind the platform and the way these visuals were created: although ByThen is an AI-focused company, the illustrations and website visuals were designed and illustrated entirely by hand, from scratch.
For the main illustration system, I developed seven different city clusters, each with its own architecture, buildings, characters, and visual details. The clusters represent the different stages of ByThen's video processing workflow, from setting up a content profile and developing a script, to creating key visuals, building a storyboard, generating the video, and finally editing and publishing it. The idea was to turn what could be a complex, technical process into something more approachable and visually engaging, with each city functioning as a small world within the larger ByThen ecosystem.
The second illustration explores a different side of the creative process: a room filled with people representing different creative professions. Writers, composers, videographers, editors, designers, and other roles come together in one environment, reflecting the many skills and disciplines traditionally involved in producing visual content. Together, these illustrations were designed to communicate ByThen's bigger idea, bringing many stages of the creative production process into one accessible workflow, while still celebrating the human creativity behind the technology.
